A clear understanding, from the start
Welcome to Pondy Fire and Safety. These terms explain how you may use our website and the general conditions for enquiries about our products and services.
Please read before placing an order. Your accepted quotation, purchase order or written service agreement sets out the specific scope, price, payment terms, warranty and delivery arrangements for your purchase.
About these terms
This website is operated by Sri Pondy Fire and Safety Equipments Pvt. Ltd., referred to as “Pondy Fire and Safety”, “we”, “us” or “our”. “You” means a person visiting the website or making an enquiry.
By using this website, you agree to the website-use conditions below. Sending an enquiry does not by itself create an order, maintenance contract or commitment to provide a service. A purchase or service booking is confirmed through the applicable written acceptance.
If an accepted written agreement differs from these general terms, that agreement governs the specific transaction, subject to applicable law.
Using our website
Please use the website lawfully and provide accurate contact details and requirement information when making an enquiry. You must not:
- Submit misleading information, impersonate another person or make fraudulent requests.
- Upload harmful files, send spam or attempt to access restricted systems or another person's information.
- Disrupt website operation or reproduce its content in a way that infringes intellectual property rights.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the website and its users.
Products and website information
Our website provides general information about fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, hydrant systems, safety equipment, training and related services. Availability, model specifications and suitability must be confirmed for your particular requirement.
Product images are illustrative unless expressly identified as the exact model being supplied. Any agreed brand, rating, capacity, certification or specification must be recorded in the quotation or order. Material substitutions require your agreement.
Website content is not a substitute for a site-specific fire risk assessment, manufacturer instructions or advice from a qualified professional. A product purchase or website enquiry does not itself constitute fire department approval or an NOC.
Quotations, orders and payment
- Quotation: Confirm the quantities, technical specifications, service scope and quotation validity before accepting.
- Pricing: The accepted quotation or invoice will identify the applicable price, taxes and any delivery, installation or additional service charges.
- Payment: Payment method, advance amount, milestones and due dates must be agreed in writing. An enquiry alone does not authorise a charge.
- Additional work: Changes outside the agreed scope require confirmation of the revised work, cost and schedule before proceeding.
If we identify an error before order acceptance, we will clarify the correct information so you can decide whether to proceed.
Installation and site work
Installation, inspections and site work are carried out according to the agreed scope and any site conditions identified during assessment. Please provide accurate premises information, safe access, required permissions and an authorised person to coordinate the work.
Civil work, electrical work, additional materials, statutory approvals or third-party inspections are included only if specified in the accepted scope. If an unsafe condition or an unexpected site requirement prevents work, we will discuss the appropriate next steps with you.
Equipment should be operated and maintained according to its instructions. Do not modify, obstruct or misuse fire safety equipment.
Servicing and annual maintenance
Refilling, testing, repairs and annual maintenance contracts (AMC) are subject to the equipment condition and the accepted service terms. The written agreement should identify the equipment covered, visit frequency, included work, exclusions, response arrangements and any chargeable spare parts.
A maintenance agreement does not replace the premises owner's or occupier's responsibilities for routine checks, safe operation, staff awareness and compliance with applicable requirements.
Emergency assistance: Website forms and sales enquiries are not an emergency response channel. If there is a fire or immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services.
Delivery and scheduling
Delivery dates and service appointments are confirmed with your order or booking. Timelines can depend on stock, supplier availability, site readiness and transport conditions. We will communicate material delays and discuss revised arrangements.
Please check delivered goods against the agreed order and report visible damage, missing items or specification concerns promptly, with supporting details where possible. This does not remove any right to report a defect later where the law or warranty permits.
Changes, cancellations and warranties
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Any cancellation charges, return conditions or refund arrangements must be disclosed in the accepted quotation or order terms. The position may depend on whether goods have been specially ordered, dispatched or installed, or services have begun.
Manufacturer warranties and any separate service warranty apply according to the written terms supplied with the order. Keep your invoice and relevant product or service records when requesting support.
Nothing in these terms excludes remedies for defective goods, deficient services or other rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Website content, links and privacy
Website text, original images, designs and other content belong to us or their respective rights holders. You may view the content and retain a reasonable copy for your own enquiry or reference. Commercial reuse requires permission from the relevant rights holder.
Links to manufacturer resources, maps, social media or other websites are provided for convenience. Those services operate independently and have their own terms and privacy practices.
For information about enquiry details, technical information and privacy requests, please read our Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these terms is not consent to unrelated marketing.
Responsibility and your rights
We aim to keep website information accurate and available, but occasional errors, interruptions or outdated details may occur. Confirm any information that is important to your purchase or safety requirement with our team before relying on it.
Responsibility for a product or service is assessed under the accepted agreement and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, negligence or any other matter to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
Your mandatory consumer rights and other statutory protections remain available.
Applicable law and updates
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes may be brought before the courts or consumer forums that have jurisdiction under applicable law, including competent forums in Puducherry where applicable.
Please contact us first so we can understand and try to resolve a concern. This does not prevent you from seeking any remedy available to you.
We may update these website terms and will revise the date shown on this page. Updates apply prospectively and do not, by themselves, change an already accepted order or service agreement.
